L'aventurier russe Fedor Konyukhov a pu battre le record du monde d'un tour du monde en ballon en solitaire qui a duré 11 ans.Le vol a décollé d'Australie-Occidentale le 12 juillet, un tour du monde en ballon en solo en 11 jours... C'est ce que l'aventurier russe Fedor Konyukhov a cassé, bien qu'ait annoncé son équipe de vol.

Le coordinateur du voyage, John Wallington, a expliqué que Fedor Konyukhov, qui est parti d'Australie-Occidentale le 12 juillet, a accompli son voyage, et son voyage a duré 11 jours, deux jours de moins que le précédent record établi par l'Américain Steve Fosset, qui a effectué une tournée mondiale en solo en 13 jours en 2002.

"Il a battu le record sans l'ombre d'un doute", a déclaré Wallington à l'AFP, ajoutant que Konyukhov avait dirigé son ballon "jusqu'au point exact d'où il était parti". voyage ont été "magnifiques" alors que les dix premiers jours ont été "terribles" à cause des tempêtes et des vents violents en Antarctique qui ont rendu l'opération très difficile, et l'on sait que le navigateur et explorateur Konyukhov est le seul au monde à avoir traversé les pôles Sud et Nord et escalader le mont Everest. Il pensait que faire le tour était une bonne chose. Battre le record est un ajout bienvenu."

           This book is dedicated to the thousands of women who loved the sciences so much they forced their way into science schools, science jobs, and science careers, opening the doors of science to all women who followed. Women pioneers of science undertook the greatest adventure of all.   

                                           

                                                                 Women Science Adventures

           As someone who has made the recognition and celebration of women’s historic accomplishments the focus of my work and life, I was eager to read Women at the Edge of Discovery. My information about twentieth-century women scientists was limited, but I had no idea how limited or how much my knowledge base would be expanded by the stories I read. Women were and are the pioneers in so many scientific fields, and yet most of these women had escaped my discovery. Through Kendall Haven’s writing, I experienced the freezing Arctic wind; the oozing toxic air and caustic cave mud; the hot, wet, sticky rain forest, each bringing life-threatening danger to the scientist. Amazing courage and daring emerged as almost universal qualities of these women, along with a willingness to try, try, and try again. Reading about one remarkable woman after another, I was astonished at the many female stereotypes exploded by the actions of these scientists. Without exception each of these women demonstrated a fearless drive for knowledge and discovery. Each had a determined eagerness to pave new paths and do what had never been done before. These stories encouraged my own sense of wonder and appreciation for the skills related to scientific observation. I wondered how men and women might solve problems differently; and I considered the impact of having the female and male experience represented in developing scientific theories and methods of experimentation. Since women’s experience in biological field studies rewrote the manual for success, does that mean that women relate to animals differently than men relate to animals?
